Hi I'm new to linux, I was previously running Windows 10 64bit on my old HP 6710b laptop and it ran pretty well, but I was experiencing a lot of annoyances with Windows so I decided to ditch it and give elementary OS a go (Im running 0.4.1 Loki). The OS runs great, been using it for just over a month now. OS runs lightning fast most of the time and I'm finding it pretty comfortable to use. However iv just got one small issue I haven't been able to find a solution to yet. The OS hangs for almost 15-20 seconds when either launching the settings app or when loading the lock screen and when loading the desktop. Just to clarify, I don't mean lag and i'm not experiencing any lag, it just freezes totally for a short time, only the mouse pointer functions. Other than that, everything else launches instantly and the OS runs rapidly. Anyone have any suggestions? Iv found some posts online but other users seem to be getting hangs with generally everything which isn't what I'm experiencing. The laptop is running on a Integral V series 120gb SSD, 4gb of ram and a 2.4ghz dual core processor. Any suggestions greatly appreciated Thanks Dan
