I recently purchased a Dell Latitude E5410 for $120 in almost brand spankin' new condition.

I decided to install Elementary OS Freya and BOY is there a difference between it and plain old Ubuntu!

I then decided to do a bit of investing and upgrade the entire thing!

The stock configuration is as follows:

    Dual Core i5 2.67GHZ 580M
    4GB DDR3 1600mhz
    240GB 5400 HDD
    DVDRW
    Old 6-Cell OEM battery

    I bought the following:

Cheapo Chinese-Branded USB Bluetooth adapter (REALLY have my doubts here, it stated in the listing that it was Linux compatible, but the package doesn't)
    Kingston 4GB SODMMs x 2
    9-Cell aftermarket battery
    Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB Drive

I've double and triple-checked everything and made sure it's all the right, compatible stuff...

    The battery was $18.92
    The SSD was $35.99
    The bluetooth adapter was $3.99
    The RAM was $25.90

    Total investment of $204.17?

I haven't yet put it together, waiting for the family to go to sleep so I can film the process in peace...Vain, I am...hehe

Did I get ripped off or did I hit it out of the park or somewhere in the middle? If anyone has any experience with this kind of setup, what kind of performance gains can I expect compared to the original config?

I will be dual-booting this with Win7 Pro, for light games in a 60/60 (Or there abouts with formatting) configuration

Thanks in advance to any replies!
