    Hi Guys,

I'm new to Linux, so bare with me.

Iv recently installed Elementary OS on a spare laptop, so far its been great. Iv managed to install most of the apps I need, but iv run into a problem when trying to install Google Play Music Manager, Iv some how managed to break the sources list when attempting to install the app via the terminal. If I now try to install an app or anything else, or try update sources list, I repeatedly get this error:

E: Malformed entry 1 in list file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-musicmanager.list (Component)
E: The list of sources could not be read.

I'm now trying to find a way to remove the file "google-musicmanager.list" from the sources.list.d directory, but I can't seem find a way to do it. Even root doesn't seem to have the right permissions to remove it.

    Any advice?

    Many Thanks

Doesn't matter, managed to sort it!

The "sudo rm" command got rid of the broken file and now the AppCenter is fixed and back to normal. I was being thick! I was trying to use the "sudo rm-f" command to remove the file, which wouldn't work.

    Thanks for nothing! :D
