    Hello.
I had a really hard time to set up the proprietary card drivers for my laptop as I migrated to elementaryOS from Ubuntu 14.04. My vga card is Nvidia Geforce 840M, as well a secondary embedded intel graphics card.
I use linux for many years but I am far from being a "power user".

I followed the tutorial which is given on this site but I got a blank screen after boot logo instead of a login screen.
The only solution I managed to follow was to install bumblebee.
However the prime drivers are quite outdated and I altered the bumblebee.conf file to make it use them.
The output of lshw -C video is now:
    *-display UNCLAIMED
    description: VGA compatible controller
product: 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller
    vendor: Intel Corporation
    physical id: 2
    bus info: pci@0000:00:02.0
    version: 06
    width: 64 bits
    clock: 33MHz
    capabilities: msi pm vga_controller bus_master cap_list
    configuration: latency=0
    resources: memory:d1000000-d13fffff memory:c0000000-cfffffff ioport:5000(size=64)

This output makes me think that it is not well installed.
What should I do? I would appreciate any help.
I have lost my whole in front of my laptop trying to make it work.
