I have, elementry OS on an SD card which was done using another OSX system.
I then realise that the Macbook I want to run elementary on i've accidently rid of the apple OS completelly and I only have debian (with Raspberry pi desktop) running on there. This has meant that I don't get the options when I hold the option button on start with the SD card plugged in (using a usb converter).

I've tried to install unetbootin instead? To attempt a different path ( not sure what I've been expecting to happen) but I get some trouble when installing unetbootin with something regarding libpng12-0. Im new to linux and I just need to know what to do to get a functioning OS on the Macbook in the current state its in.

    Many thanks,

    J
