    Hello folks,

I try to install the latest Freya version from live USB.
I have 1 SSD which I have windows on and windows bootloader.
I install Freya on my second HDD and the grub on the second HDD. My problem is that when I choose to boot it, I always get normal.mod not found error. I tried installing grub recovery when logged on the live usb and let it run, but nothing changed.
I am on ASUS MB, and I have tried turning the secure boot on/off , switching the UEFI, but no success.

If anyone can help, I will be thankful. :)

    Hello,

I'm new also and all last night I had this problem and then I finally found it out. I ended up installing Freya 0.3 the older version from April 2015. I installed it from Sourceforge. After I installed the older version I opened up software updater and it updated to 0.3.1 and it always boots up now. No more grub GNU screen.

I managed to get this working with BOOT-REPAIR checking the "purge" option.
When I tried to boot, I got the grub working, but when Elementary loads I get that "couldn't mount /mnt/efi" or something error.

    So again.....no working Elementary.

    Thnx Donald!
I had the same problem, your solution worked also for me. Seems the is something fishy with the latest installer.
