    Hi again.

I've just installed Freya (0.3.1) on a HP 250 laptop and have just added Firefox, version 41. When I type my search terms (say "test") from the "about:startpage" and press "Enter", Firefox goes to about:startpage?q=test instead of querying google, bing, whatever... I've had to select DuckDuckGo.com as my home page, which limits to only one the scope of search engines from the start page.

First time I ever see this happen. Is there a proper fix?

Note: no problem if I type the search terms in the URL bar.

I had the same problem here.
So I disabled the "Ubuntu Modifications" extension, restored the default homepage in preferences and it worked.

Good to know, thanks. I'll try it in a virtual machine (the computer has gone off my hands now) and report here what happens.

    EDIT: Works indeed!
