Only ethernet is working WiFi is not working plzz help

    I have recently installed elementay os in my hp laptop
    But WiFi is not working plzz help me (WiFi not showing)

    In the terminal type

    lspci | grep -i wireless

    this will tell you what kind of wireless you have if it is detected

    for Broadcom WIFI in Synaptic Package Manager search for

    firmware-b43-installer and bcmwl-kernel-source and install both

    If you do not have Synaptic Package Manager installed in the Terminal
    Type

    sudo apt-get install synaptic

    If it is a Broadcom which I suspect it is these two files should fix your problem after installed reboot

    I’ve run into the same problem with a Broadcom wireless card on a Wintel W8 Pro.

    I’ve tried the above with no luck.

    It won’t even show the interface under lspci.

    Does anyone have some insight into this?
