No Sound on Web Browsers

    When i watch youtube videos or play anything, the video plays, but without sound... I'm using Opera, but it doesn't work on midori as well...

    Hi, I am aware this post has been up for a while with no replies, have you found a solution yet?
    If not, is this limited to web browsers? If it is try going to "System Settings - Sound - Applications" while youtube is playing. It may be muted for a specific application.

    It's because of HTML5 and chromium based browsers, HTML5 seems to choose the first soundcard which is 0, I solved it on my Lenovo X1 by editing "/etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel.conf" and added the line:

    options snd_hda_intel index=1,0
