Hi to you all. I put Elementary on my Mom's laptop. She wanted to use a ledger USB stick - so I donwloaded the linux app and wanted to run the program / which it didn't. I tried to find solutios and followed some chmod terminal commands - ut none of them worked. Now all of a sudden - I can' access ANY of the home folder folders 'can't access any of the pictures, documents etc. It say in the file manager it all belongs to root. I really need help to save the system since a lot of the files are not backed up yet, since the laptop is only a couple of weeks old. What can I do?
