    Hi,
I'm not an expert in this area but I would recommend you view "How to make Ardour and Jack work in Elementary OS LINUX DAW 101" you may also want to install QT-ubuntu, QT4 support thought snapd store "sudo snap install qt-ubuntu --edge." Do you have Jack installed (The Jack audio connection kit). Read the readme files that come with the packages you wish to install and research what you may need to complement your install.

I downloaded Carla Linux 64bit package. Extracted the content in a directory directly into my download directory. Then I right-clicked the Carla icon and selected run. In a few seconds up and running. For some reason I'm unable to upload a screenshot if not I would have given you a view of what carla looks in EOS.

Do take a look at my FB post.
