Hi Mr. Brown I just immediately installed wine 1.7.x (latest 1.7 from PPA) on a new elementary 0.3.1 installation yesterday, i cannot reproduce your problem there. Just try to repair the installation and install through PPA: sudo apt-get purge wine* sudo apt-get -f install sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get install wine1.7 success ?
Hi!! I'm going to full reinstall Freya and try again ^^ Should I install some drivers like video card one? Or nothing at all? Thank you so much for reply <3
Hm, if you aren't playing games or when you don't experience any graphic problems, the proprietary driver makes nothing better Only for (Steam) gamers it's necessary to install the proprietary AMD or NVIDIA drivers. Are you a gamer?
Hi guys, thank you all for help. A fresh install of freya seemed to work and i could install wine. All works good, but that's a little problem and it's about framerate in game. I think it's a sort of limitation in this "emulation" and driver too. I'm having frame drop during game (league of legend), i've installed nvidia latest driver.
Hi Mr Brown, this could be interesting for you: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=19141 Especially in the middle of its content somebody write: As with every DirectX game running under wine, shadows are a huge factor at decreasing FPS. Disabling shadows or decreasing their quality is a good way to gain lots of FPS. Maybe that helps a little bit?
