I need help with removing 3 icons from the applications menu. The software has been removed however I cannot delete these icons. It was recommended to try /usr/share/application/. Unfortunately I don’t know where to find that or how to get to it. Can anyone help?
Simply drag the offending icon off the menu bar while holding down the Command key. An X will show beneath the dragged symbol to signify that it will vanish once you release the mouse button. In case you change your mind later, seek for a "Show icon-name in menu bar" checkbox in the relevant System Preferences pane.
