GTK+ installation error

    Dropbox cannot complete installation, and Padre (Perl editor) installs but complains about the exact same issue as Dropbox does:

    (padre:1786): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "pixmap",
    Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
    10:47:32 PM: Error: Cannot set locale to 'en_GB'.

    Is it something that I can remedy?

    Update: The dropbox problem is related to a known bug: Bug #1418489 reported by DicconSpainon 2015-02-05
    I guess this means that there is no current solution?
    (The workarounds discussed in the thread of this bug are a bit beyond me).
