I noticed that my firfox tabs do not show the audio indicator anymore (they did when I first installed elementary os). Here is what I noticed, when looking at the sound settings, sometimes the sound shows it is coming from firefox (when this happens the indicator works). But a lot of the time the sound shows it is coming from alsa sound, and when this happens the indicator does not show up. I rebooted into the live cd of elementary os, and the sound always shows it is coming through firefox, and always works. Is there a way to get this to work like it used to? It looks like I can only post one picture at a time. Here is a picture using the live cd with it working

In case anyone else has this issue, I fixed it by going to about:config in firefox, and changed the plugin.state.flash from 2 to 0
Well I just did an update, and am now firefox will not play videos unless the plugin is on... So it is broke again.
Thanks! this worked and so far Im not having any issues. This also fixed an issue I had clicking the x's on tabs when firefox wasnt full screen.
