I've been looking for this everywhere - can't find how to enable it in elementary (elementary-tweaks, gnome-tweaks, dconf, gonf, xinput). This is running on a Dell Latitude laptop - basically I want this functionality : hold and press both trackpad buttons at same time and paste into application (e.g. scratch, terminal). Same laptop recently had Xenial (i.e. Ubuntu 16.04 - same as what elementary is based on) on it - and then OBRevengeOS (Arch) - and emulate 3 buttons was enabled and worked in both. If I can't find a solution soon I'll probably format and put Ubuntu 16.10 on there... P.S. I'm also a financial "backer" of elementary - and I wish / hope / pray that this will be fixed easily - as would prefer to use elementary (P.S. pantheon terminal also annoys me [too locked down - not configurable] - but I just install xfce4-terminal) Kind regards, The UnixOutlaw
Decided to instead - run a fairly "vanillla" Debian Jessie "XFCE" desktop and run Pantheon on top of that... Emulate 3 Buttons works out of the box in Jessie...
