    Hey guys,

This is driving me nuts. I just want to know if it's in my head or it's a real thing.

I installed Elementary OS 3 weeks ago along with W8.1 and it was running smoothly, there was only a minor problem with Clementine, but nothing serious.
Because of some little things that I wanted to try I had to reinstall Elementary OS, but this time I decided to get rid of W8.1 and the efi particion (to avoid having a Windows entry on grub).
The thing is that, with this new installation, the fan turns on too soon now, with 2 or 3 apps running, which is something that definitely wasn't happening when I installed Elementary for the first time.
Also, when I check details in the settings the graphics section says :"Intel Corporation Broadwell-U Integrated Graphics (rev 09)", but I could swear (I only took a quick look so I can't be sure) that in the first installation it was "HD Graphics 5500 Broadwell GT" or something like that, which would make more sense since my Gcard is a Intel HD 5500.
Since the only thing that changed from one installation to the other was the efi partition, does that mean that efi partitions usually have information about hardware and that's why Elementary installed a different driver the second time?

    Thanks
