Hi folks, I want to install elementary alongside the w10. I have already installed different linux distro together with w10 and it works just fine. However the elementary OS demand for at least 524288 blocks (256M), but my efi partition is 100M and it would take too much time and effort to increase efi partition size. Do you plan to change this requirement? Is there a rationale behind this requirement? What else can I do except the re-installation of whole system? Thanks for all the replies.

I have the same problem, I multiboot several OSes on one drive, the partitions are already created, including an EFI partition of 200 MB, the OSes already installed, except for elementary OS, which refuses to install unless the EFI partition is bigger than 256 MiB.

I have no interest in resizing partitions, which will assuredly clobber the hybrid MBR - GPT partition scheme and force me to reinstall all those OSes.

Why in the world would elementary OS force a 256 MB size limit on the EFI partition when every other OS doesn't care?

Apparently, there is no solution to this and no plans for a change in the disinst.
