I have a bizarre problem and have looked through countless forums online and search engines to see if it is a common issue but I cannot find anyone who is experiencing something similar. So far I have only noticed the issue with spotify, VLC and the default Loki video player however I suspect it is an issue affecting "playback" type applications; when I am listening to a song on spotify, or watching a video on VLC they frequently pause randomly and unexpectedly. I have unplugged my keyboard and mouse to see if it is somehow to do with faulty peripherals or accidentally pressing a "pause" button but the issue still occurs. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone seen something similar to this happen before? If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it, thanks a lot.
I assume that spotify is streaming. Are you streaming with VLC as well or playing the files locally? It might be an internet buffer issues which could be your NIC doing funky things. Have you tried running it with a system monitor open running to see if anything weird is happening?
