    Hi there,

I have just installed elementaryOS, having previously used LinuxMint. (On a Samsung laptop).

So far so good, however I am trying to use a dual monitor set up with my cheapo Goodmans 22" TV connected via HDMI. The issue is that the image is cut off all the way around the screen by about 1.5cm.

I have tried the various different resolution options that the display settings have to offer, however none of them seem to work.

I am using an integrated graphics card, but I don't know the exact model, but it is described as

"Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)"

in the about page in settings.

Could anybody offer me up a solution to fix this problem? And if the laptop was connected via a VGA cable, would that be likely to solve the problem? I don't have one lying around to test this out.

Thanks in advance for any help.
