I installed the latest Elementary 64 for a Toshiba laptop and it appeared to install successfully, but after a restart without the USB with ISO image, it errors that media not found. I took the auto option to delete the hard disk contents when installing. I also had the same issue with Manjaro. What could I be missing?
Hmm, it sounds like the bootloader isn't installed on the right place. You may want to try supergrubrepair , it does detect any OS installed. Of course not the best solution, but i think nice to know if supergrub repair is detecting the fresh installed linux? http://www.supergrubdisk.org/
It was the bootloader. I tried another distro (Mint) and it ithad the same issue so tried the following which resolved it. I'll try it for awhile and then try Elementary again. Thanks for the assistance! http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=10871917#post10871917
