how can I get the writing permission for hfs+ formated external harddrive.
I can read and copy files from the hfs+ harddrive to linux elementary but not the other way round:
from elementary to the external hfs+ formated harddrive it doesnt work.
there is alway a lock sign at the files.

but sorry I don't understad it.
is this a command for the terminal? so first I should enter chown-R and then the username and groupname and then a destination?
wich username: the name of the computer? and wich group? destination is this the name of the external drive?

Yes in the terminal. I have been looking up regarding HFS format in elementary/ubuntu - it's a bit more complicated than that. You need first disable journaling in OSX first - Here's a guide: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/hfsplus

Sorry I don't have any experience with that. When you say it doesn't work - won't it start?
