    Hi there,
I've been running Elementary on my HP elitebook for a couple a couple of years. I've just got an HP Envy 15AH150SA and thought I'd try Elementary off a live USB before installing permanently for obvious reasons.
The specs on the laptop are AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6 1.8 Ghz chip, 8 Gb RAM. It has an Intel Dual Band AC3165 wifi interface, which has been problematic in Win 10 (dropping wifi regularly). UEFI secure boot is disabled in the BIOS.

When trying to boot elementary from a USB it gets to the point of just after networking start and says
    "console-setup.service
a start job is running for udev coldplug all devices (timer/no limit)"
and just hangs there with a timer counting up in the area where where it says (timer/no limit)

I also tried booting a USB with ubuntu on and it hung at the point of network clock synchronisation, so it seems it something to do with networking by the looks of it.

    Anybody have any ideas?
