I bought an Nvidia GTX 960 graphics card and then tried to install the latest version of elementary x64. Whether I try the live cd or to install I get the same error. I used the 'nomodeset' and the 'ACPI=off' options under the F6 menu to no avail. Sometimes it only display "ACPI PCC probe failed" and other times I get a slightly more descriptive, but none the less unhelpful, further error messages. I am pretty sure the issue is that the nouveau graphics driver that comes in the installation disk doesn't recognize my card. I would like to be able to install elementary via command line if possible. I don't need more than a base install, and then I can use the software center and grab a version of the nvidia drivers and I should be good to go. At least that is what I did in my ubuntu until I figure this out. If anybody can help me with a graphic-less install, or an alternative installation method, I would be very grateful.
