I have a nvidia GeForce GT 430 card, and I want to use a proprietary driver. Can someone tell which one do I choose under additional drivers? I have Freya 64 bit.
Hi David Fisher, you can check this site: http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html Just go through the sublinks > SUPPORTED PRODUCTS. 352.63 (brand new) and 340.96 contains our GeForce GT 430 driver. Just ask yourself, if you need the proprietary driver - if you are not going to play games, its recommendable to use the open source driver.
if you are going to play games or use your graphics card for computing purposes then the driver recommended is the first in the list: version 352.63 tested which is the latest driver in http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/95159/en-us SUPORTED DEVICES tab.
