How do I add folders to the desktop

I'm using Freya. How do I add folders and files to the desktop?

I don't understand this part of the instructions, "org → pantheon → desktop → cerbere and add 'nautilus -n' entry as follows.
['wingpanel', 'plank', 'slingshot-launcher --silent', 'nautilus -n']"

Where is this "option" I'm supposed to click on?
