While I was upgrading my Freya 0.3 to 0.3.1, somehow scratch-text-editor was removed. I was trying to reinstall it, but it gives the following error
The following packages have unmet dependencies:

Depends: libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (>= 2.22.0) but 2.30.7-0ubuntu1.2 is to be installed
Depends: libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.31.8) but 2.42.2-0ubuntu1~14.04~ricotz0 is to be installed
Depends: libgtk-3-0 (>= 3.1.6) but 3.14.12-0ubuntu1~14.04~ricotz0 is to be installed
Depends: libgtksourceview-3.0-0 (>= 2.91.4) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libgtkspell-3-0 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libsoup2.4-1 (>= 2.4.0) but 2.44.2-1ubuntu2 is to be installed
Depends: libvte-2.90-9 (>= 1:0.27.90) but 1:0.34.9-1ubuntu2 is to be installed
while in Software center. Trying in terminal with both apt-get and aptitude gives the 4th and 5th errors. Can you help me please?

    Hi Chayan,
what does happen when you try to force (repair) install the packages (-f install), and then simply upgrade and re-install scratch after that? Maybe there was something simple broken within the depencies which is now resolved, i don't know :)

    sudo apt-get -f install
    sudo apt-get upgrade
    sudo apt-get install scratch-text-editor
