I have a newly installed version of eOS, created using the LVM method, and the whole disk - it seemed easier at the time - and now I have pretty much all my apps and settings where i need them it's time to shrink this partition so I can create a user data space on the drive.

It is a 500gb drive, and I was thinking of leaving about 120gig for the Linux system and apps, and the remainder to be data. I use to do this on my Windows system and it meant if there were any OS issues, I could simple re-load the disk image and all my data was safe.

Is there a way to do this within eOS, using Gnome Disks or similar?

    Thanks
