Hi! I am new Elementary OS user!

Some time ago I installed Tweaks. It worked correctly for a while, but one time I noticed its lack. I have tried reinstalling and I'm getting errors like this. I will add that Tweaks appears in the system settings after installation, but does not start after clicking and system settings closes.

Sorry for my English skills I am not a native speaker :)

I have a similar issue. I have recently installed Elementary and coming from Windows, I really need a minimize button. I installed Elementary Tweaks, everything went fine but when I click on the Tweaks icon in the settings, the system settings panel just closes and I get nothing. Tried reinstalling, rebooting etc. This is really frustrating for a new user. Hope somebody can help.

    I've done some research:
Apparently, the recent update to Elementary's launcher "Slingshot" is causing this. Some say the issue has been resolved however the repo is not updating so the only way to get the latest Tweaks version is to build it from source, which for new users is a pain. Trust me, I tried... Basically the only thing we can do is wait for Tweaks devs to resolve this.
    Until then, here's a tip:
You can minimize/maximize a program by clicking on its icon in the dock.

I installed. The went flawless. It shows up as an icon in my menu tree.
But when I hit the icon it does not startup. I searched on the CLI "locate elementary-tweaks", but cannot find the file.

The issue has been resolved! I just updated my software list and all the packages through Terminal and voilà! It works!
