Just installed Elementary and loving it so far, but I can't seem to get dns search domains to work properly. Normally I just edit /etc/systemd/resolved.conf and restart and it works great. This time, not so much.

I need to have multiple search domains since I use this vm to vpn into work and do remote support. We have multiple domains and it's a pain to type out fqdn for every device I have to ssh into.

The edits to resolved.conf persist across reboots, but the domains are not being used in searching.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

EDIT: Never mind. I think I got it working by using the gui to add them. That has never worked for me in the past on any distro, so I just got into the habit of not doing it that way.

    Surprise, it works!
