I have a 0.4 Loki setup. On it there are apps from the offical repos, from Ubuntu backports and from ppas, apps manually installed from .deb files, from AppImages and Flatpaks, compiled from source, little scripts I wrote myself, you name it. The Ubuntu 16.04 on which my current setup is based should give me another two years of kernel upgrades. I rarely use the elementary-specific apps, preferring general purpose Linux workhorses, like Thunderbird for e-mail. Updating will mean that some of that will be lost and I'll have to spend time hunting down the apps I lost and reinstalling/recreating them. Which will be fine, except that my current setup is running like a Swiss watch, and I am not seeing anything in 5.0 Juno that makes an upgrade a no-brainer. It's all more refined, I'm sure. But is there some new killer feature that I am missing? So, if you upgraded to 5.0, what made it worthwhile? Not trying to troll here, I ask this sincerely.
