Is 4GB RAM enough?

    Hi folks,

    I'm new to this forum and new to Elementary OS.

    Apologies if this is a simplistic or overly asked question.

    I am thinking of downloading Elementary Loki to a laptop(Dell Latitude E5500) that has 4GBs of RAM. I would be grateful for any thoughts on whether this is do-able. I know the official docs say 4GB's, but I am a realist and want it to run relatively smoothly. No gaming, mainly word processing, browsing etc. I would be particularly grateful for confirmation from people already running it on 4GB's(if there are any!). :rolleyes:

    My mom's laptop have 4 GB that runs eos without a hitch.
