I{m very new at Linux, I recently installed Elementary OS Loki and I have an issue with mouse pointer, it multiplies everywhere when it's loading a page or a program Here is a picture of my issue http://imgur.com/a/6x7Vr My graphics card is: Intel Corporation Device 22b1 (rev 35) any suggestions? Thank you very much Lea
You could try updating the intel driver and see if it helps: Code (Text): sudo add-apt-repository ppa:joe-yasi/xorg-xenial sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade
I made a fresh install, tried that command línes and updated the system but the problem is still there.
Hmm...google don't come up with anything regarding your problem, only missing cursor issues. Lets try another repo and see if they have another driver for you. Code (Text): sudo ppa-purge ppa:joe-yasi/xorg-xenial sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade If it doesn't work try removing the intel driver Code (Text): sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-intel
Thanks for your reply. I could not try what you told me in the last post, but I noticed something strange. The problem happens while i'm using HDMI cable but when I change and connect the VGA cable, that problem is gone. I tried with 3 HDMI cables (1 is brand new) and those múltiple mouse pointers are still there... I also installed Linux mint and the same thing happens.
Maybe, but the strange thing is that when I install Windows 10, it works flawlessly, I don' t see those múltiple mouse pointers using either HDMI or VGA.
