I have a terminal window that i cannot drag by the title bar.

Other windows (both terminal and non-terminal) can be dragged around.

I think that i maybe accidentally locked it somehow?

Thanks in advance for any clues on how to unstick it.

Just an idea... have you tried to kill it?

You could try to open terminal and write "xkill" and then left click on the terminal window that is stuck.

    Thanks Auksinis.

I've certainly thought about it, but if i do kill it, then i won't have learned how to unstick it. My guess is that i've probably fumbled some keys or clicked on something that locked it in place, so i would like to learn just what that process is. After all, it might be useful sometimes to lock a window down.

And i'm all ears if you (or anybody else) has any other suggestions.

OK, looks like there is a solution, which i'll repeat here just in case anybody gets stuck at the same point and sees this thread.

Command-click-drag (anywhere in any window) allows you to drag a window around. (For me, the command key is the windows key, but on other keyboards i guess it could be different.)

I saw this in http://lmelinux.net/2014/07/26/elementary-os-keyboard-shortcuts/ Some of the shortcuts there work for me, and some do not.

Note that my window is still stuck in the sense that ordinary dragging by the title bar absolutely does not work, so the question is not completely resolved, but the situation is much improved.
