Hi, I'm coming from OS X where I've been used to an automatic window manager on top of whatever OS X offers. Now I'm running Elementary OS and using the trackpad to resize windows is futile.

I installed xmonad and i3 to try but when you open i3, for instance, it's i3 only. No Pantheon behind. I realize this might be the expected behaviour but I'd love to keep Pantheon and still have my windows automatically tiled.

    Any ideas?

I did not manage to make i3 works on top of Pantheon too. I currently use this script https://github.com/ssokolow/quicktile to tile my windows with keyboard shortcuts (not as good as a real tiling wm but better than nothing)
