I'm running Elementary Freya 64 bit. I have it set to open photos with photo viewer by default. However, every time I try to open a photo it opens it with internet explorer via wine. I've checked the settings and I've even tried to remove IE to stop it happening, but no joy. Can anyone tell me how and which config file to manually edit to stop this happening and/or how to remove IE. It doesn't show up in Wines list of installed programs, but it is there none the less.

    Thanks in advance

    Adam

What do you mean by "system", the hardware?

    Hi Adam,
i think WINE's IE is installed through winetricks. You can list all Winetricks Apps with:

    Code (Text):
    winetricks list-installed
But there is no option to deinstall winetricks apps (WTF?!), really confusing! https://wiki.winehq.org/Winetricks#How_to_remove_things_installed_by_Winetricks

Cant you change the default app in System Settings >> Application > Default to Image Viewer: Photo Viewer?

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

Photo viewer is already set as default in system settings, but seems to have no effect.

    When I run "winetricks list-installed" I get
"You are using a 64-bit WINEPREFIX. If you encounter problems, please retest in a clean 32-bit WINEPREFIX before reporting a bug."
